Mainland Tramways

On the 19th of December 2010 the T1 tramline that connects Favaro Veneto (via Monte Celo) with Mestre (via Cappuccina corner with via Sernaglia) was inaugurated.

This tramway has a length of 6 kilometres that are covered in 23 minutes. The 18 tram stops that are active at the moment are also used by the bus services.

A second section of the tramline, that is currently under construction, will allow the trams to reach Venice (Piazzale Roma).

The tram is based on Translohr technology, it runs on rubber tires and is guided by a single central rail.
