Land Reclamation

The land reclamation of the drainage basin is assigned to local corsortia.

The consortia draw up the General Plan for Land Reclamation and Land Protection (PGBTT), outlining the areas with similar levels of flood and hydric risk.

The plan identifies public works of land reclamation and other works (including those belonging to privates) necessary for the protection of the Territory, it establishes the priority of execution, it makes proposals to public Authorities, not only to mitigate the flood risk but also to improve the water quality of rivers and canals trough water phytopurification system.

With this instrument the consortiua implement the planning of its own interventions and those of the other territorial Organizations. This context includes the preparation of plans of water, in accordance with the municipalities, those plans have, as main objective, the protection from flooding caused by "hydraulic suffering" of the Territory (waterproofing widespread, urbanization, maintenance of drainage networks).
